David Strain's Land in Madison Township, Highland Co., OH.

Here is my plat drawing of all the land owned by David Strain, based on the deeds executed by James Hoge and Jane, his wife, to David's children, or to Samuel McConnell when 104 acres are sold after David's death to pay his debts.  I've also included a detail of this location from three maps obtained from the Courthouse in Highland Co., OH.  It's easy to see how the land aligns right on the bottom part of the Hardin, Reddick Survey and where it is located today, from my drawing and the maps.

My rough drawing of the land plats for David Strain's heirs and sale of 104 (106 actually) acres to Samuel McConnell. Compare this to the Atlas maps. My rough drawing has 160a for McConnell, but it should be 106a. I mistakenly reversed the numbers when I quickly labeled it.
