To the Honorable Thomas A Cheves Judge of the Probate Court of Yalobusha County & State of Mississippi, the undersigned appraisers appointed by this Honorable Court at the last July Term thereof to appraise the goods Chattles and personal estate of George Conly late of said County Deceased beg leave respectfully to report that pursuant to and by virtue of the warrant of this Court to them directed and thus Oath thereon endorsed, they in conjunction with George W. Conly, Executor of said deceased on the fifth day of July 1856 gave notice in writing to Elizabeth Conly and John Conly two persons interested in the administration of said estate residing within three miles of the place of making said appraisement that they would on the 26th day of July 1856 meet at the late residence of said desceadent and proceed in the performance of their duties, which said notice with said warrant & oath is hereto annexed & that on the day last aforesaid, at the hour of ten Oclock A M, did then and their value and appraise the goods and Chattles & personal estate of said decedent so far as the same were shown to them by said Executor or otherwise come to their sight and Knowledge which will fully appear by reference to the foregoing Schedule containing each article with the value thereto annexed, amounting in all to the sum of twenty five Thousand three hundred & forty one & 89/100 dollars all which is hereby certified under our hands and seals and respectfully submitted this the 26th day of July AD 1856.

Order of Appraisement is issued by T.A. Cheves the 1st Monday of July, 1856, at Coffeville the 7th day of July 1856, Thos. Ward Clk. and signed by all three appraisers on July 26, 1856.

Notice of inventory and appraisement to Elizabeth Conly and John Conly is served at the Late Residence of George Conly, Deceased on July 9th 1856, setting the day of appraisement as Saturday the 26th. Both Elizabeth Conly and John Conly acknowledge and sign the notice.

Petition to sell Perishable property and to divide Slaves.

Filed Sept 4, 1860.

The undersigned George W. Conly Executor of the last will & testament of George Conly decd shows to your Honor that said decedent directed by his will herewith filed that all of his perishable estate after the termination of the life estate in said will created in favor of testators widow’s share be sold. said life estate is now terminated by the death of said widow & c?? is a considerable perishable estate consisting of household & kitchen furnishings, stock of hogs & cattle & provisions farming utensils & mules & horses, all of which it is desirable should be sold as of a perishable character as also to effect the __?__ of said testator as set forth in his said will to which end petitioner prays for an order directing petitioner to sell said property & for permission which said as in duly bound of.
