1861 Nancy Jane Bowie moves to Spartanburg Co. (perhaps earlier?)
1864 Nancy Jane Bowie returns to Upper Long Cane Church, 8 July 1864, then to the Town (Village) Church, then is dismissed to the Sumter Church in Dec 1872. If anyone can positively identify this last church, please let me know.
1869 Estate of John H. Wilson, brother to Mary Wilson Strain, decd., is administered by Nancy Jane Strain Bowies son, Robert Edwin Bowie, esq. Nancys brothers James Madison Strain and Mathew Harvey Strain are notified as living out of state, and as heirs for the land sale. Nancy Jane Bowie is bonded on the estate.
